yes. i am a bulldog. in more than one sense.
(have you seen me play defense in soccer?)
I had a few issues adjusting to Yale. To summarize, I didn't think I fit the Yale profile; I'm not sophisticated or well-spoken, I can be very frivolous, I'm politically ambivalent for the most part, I prefer to blend into the background, I dread social mixers, and I don't come from a long family line of do-gooders. I escaped to Disney World after my freshman year, caught my breath and calmed down, and mustered enough courage to face Yale again. I cut myself some slack and stopped trying to fit the mold, and I was much happier for it. At last, I felt like I belonged, and then, all too soon, it was time to leave.
As they said in Avenue Q, I wish I could go back to college.
